COP26, new 2021 dates agreed

New dates for COP26 have been proposed by the UK government. They would see the climate change conference put back a year. Government ministers are reported to have suggested 1 – 12 November 2021 for the climate change conference.

To be held at Glasgow’s SEC, the event that had been timetabled for November 2020 was postponed in response to the Covid crisis. UNFCCC will meet later this week to consider the proposed rescheduling.

UPDATE: These dates have now been agreed – see release here.
