Arctic Sea Ice is Disappearing at Alarming Rate

Arctic sea ice melt in the summer is normal but experts say it’s thinner now, disappearing earlier and returning later in the fall. Since the first orbital images in 1979, sea ice coverage dropped an average of 34,000 square miles a year.
